We thank all who came out to our recent beer tasting. We hope you all enjoyed it, and walked away with a new experience in beer. Unfortunately, we were forced to drop the Dogfish Head Aprihop and World Wide Stout, and replace them with Witches’ Brew Golden Ale and Mendocino Blacke Eye Ale, due to limited supply.
Next month we will be featuring a Tequila tasting complete with sunrises and margaritas. Please, stop in the store for details.
Creekside is hosting their first beer tasting. The event will be free, and will be held in Maryville at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, June 29th. For more information customers must come into the store, and apply for an invitation if interested in attending.
Unless plans change, we will be serving six different beers: Mendocino Brewery’s new release of their seasonal Summer Blonde Ale; Dogfish Head Brewery’s Aprihop, Midas Touch, and World Wide Stout; our #1 seller Werewolf Ale; and Old Jock.
Creekside is getting a wine club rolling. Membership is free for customers that come into the store to sign up. Just leave us your name and e-mail address for invitations to our exclusive wine tastings. The tastings are free and by invitation only, and will be held the last Tuesday of every month. Typically, the tasting will consist of two reds and two whites, but will not be limited to wine. Occasionally, we will also have spirits and beers. So, come on down and get signed up…

“At Tamás Estates we’ve made it our passion to fashion California wines in a style honoring their varietal heritage. With Double Decker Red we’ve taken it a step further by crafting an exciting blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Barbera to create an adventurously robust yet smooth red wine with mouth-filling flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum, and a smooth, spicy finish. Hop on the Double Decker Red bus for a multinational wine tour experience and stamp your passport for world taste.”

“Quelque Chose was launched in January 1996. This versatile beer was specifically developed as a winter beer because, when warmed to 70ºC (160ºF), it can be taken as a hot drink. On the other hand, on the rocks, it is a wonderful aperitif. The cherries are soaked for months in slightly bitter ale before being blended into the beer. Quelque Chose is made with dark roasted malts, and the end result is something commonly known as an authentic nectar. The most original of the Unibroue line, it is highly appreciated by winter-sports enthusiasts.” – Unibroue.com

“Harvested in late summer and immediately delivered to the cellar to ensure quality, the grapes are gently pressed and then fermented at a carefully controlled temperature. The wine matured in steel and chilled on fine lees until its spring bottling.
Elegantly balanced with fresh green apple, bright citrus and clean mineral flavors leading to a crisp, satisfying finish.”
